Here's Why Reno Motels Can Be A Great Value

When a traveler to Reno wants to find lodging a little less pricey, they turn to the Reno motels near and around the strip.  The difference between a motel and a hotel is generally in the amenities and the luxuries. 

But when a visitor is more concerned about going from casino to casino, rather than the towels in their bathroom, Reno motels are a cheap way to rest their heads at night.

• Sunrise Motel – Located right down the street from Harrah’s, the Sunrise Motel offers guests complimentary coffee and fax and copier services.  This is an ideal location for a business traveler or someone that just doesn’t need a lot of perks to their motel room.

• Super 8 at Meadow Wood Courtyard – On the southern end of the strip, this Super 8 includes a Jacuzzi, free continental breakfast, a health club, restaurant and free in room coffee makers.  Clean and easy to find, this motel is a great option for budget weary travelers.

• University Inn – Located near the university, this motel is small, but offers free coffee and a few suites for the traveler that wants a little more room in their room.

• Bonanza Motor Inn – Although the price is certainly low and the outside a little outdated, this motel is a find for visitors to Reno.  The beds are comfortable and the staff top-notch.

• Star Dust Lodge – This simple motel is a little further from the main strip, but it is comfortable and clean and just right for anyone that doesn’t want to spend a lot of money for a place to sleep.

Who Doesn't Want To Save Money?

The upside of Reno motels is that tourists can save on lodging costs and use that savings to fund other activities even beyond gambling in the casinos. 

Many people who want to head to Tahoe will stay in motels so as to offset the lift ticket expenses and ski equipment rental. 

If a person is considering traveling to the area, it might be a wise decision to consider the amount of time that will be spent in the hotel room before reserving a room.  If the person isn’t going to be in the room that often, is there really a need for a big-budget hotel?

If the traveler isn’t heading to Reno just for the casinos, motels make more sense than hotels.  Hotels can tack on extra charges for amenities and hold travelers as a captive audience for their high priced stores and shops. 

Instead, motels offer secure and clean places to keep luggage and take a nap in order to head to the casinos or the clubs later on.

Reno motels are only a few blocks from the casino action, which makes them relatively close in terms of convenience, but not so close that a traveler is kept up all night listening to the crowds. 

And with the lower prices and reasonable accommodations, tourists can spend their money on places like Tahoe or heading to Reno shopping centers for souvenirs – not on where they lay their heads.
